IMG_0044.JPG So bad news guys the Christmas Dinners are sold out! The ladies in H&G have been doing an amazing job letting the world know about everything and I had one job, just one.

TELL YA'LL ABOUT THIS FUNKY BRUNCH I'VE COME UP WITH

It's a classic Christmas-Irish-Japanese-America-afternoon idea that we are all used to at Christmas.

It's happening Sunday December 7th. It's a pretty magical day to be honest. It kicks off at 2pm and costing ya 40blips. Bring your own bottle...s

Here's the menu:

A welcome Teelings Cocktail * Oysters in cranberry and clove vinegar served with a cranberry bloody Molly (Served in a iced jug with Teelings Whiskey, fennel and cranberries) * Venison tartar, cured egg yolk, burdock and smoked mussel mayo served on Eggnog baked French Toast with candied bacon OR Beet tartar, cured egg, smoked salt, chervil and creme fraiche served on Eggnog baked French Toast with mushrooms and honey * Then warm winter crumble, warm custard, oats and plenty of black fruits * Hearty Cheese Board

Yeah, I know. You don't know what to think, you may slightly be curious about some bits, but don't worry darling I'm here for you.

Let us begin at the start, we'll be getting Oysters from Martys Mussels, freshly shooking them that morning and bunging you out big platters, dress them as you see fit! The cranberry and clove vinegar is perhaps the best thing since sliced bread.

The venison on French toast with mayo, yeah that's a doozie. It came to me in a dream, told me to make it, I made it and now it belongs to you. It's the perfect combination of everything, ever. Crispy French toast topped with a savoury blend of chocolate and venison. It's all so right. We'll then top it with slivers of a miso cured egg yolk, for six days and six nights the yolk shall sleep in the magical surrounds of our own homemade miso.

We'll warm you up with some pipping hot custard and crumble and then relax over some very large cheese boards.

All in all its the best Sunday morning we can have together. Laughter, friends,booze and egg yolks.

I'm back, just for you. With a dodgy foot and all. We've given our brunch a little revamp with snazzy new menus et all.

Our Veg eggs now coming sitting on tasty organic portobello mushrooms. Oh yeah. But lets get down to brass tax here, you want to know specials. You always want to know the specials.

So I've decided to give you lucky people a magical sandwich this week. A brunch sandwich. It'll make you feel happy inside.

I know, settle down. It's amazing. You don't know what to do with yourself. But relax. It'll be ok.

We've been away, now we are back.

You didn't write, you didn't call. What's that about?

Well we forgive you, we return to the sweet halls of Roasted Brown in Filmbase this Saturday 18th of May. With our classic brunch menu.

Our Very Special Special this Saturday will be the wonderful Mushrooms on Rye with eggs. Bang on some bacon if ya feel it. It'll be tremendous, you'll leave your better half and run  away with us.

We'll be knocking them out from 12 onwards, get in a huff at 4 and go home. When the special is gone, it is gone. Actually come to think of it, when anything is gone, it is gone.

Well it happened again, it was a smashing success with everybody fed and watered.

The sun shined and the bread toasted. Sadly my special wasn't deemed special by the majority of our customers. All I can say is damn them, damn them. It was brioche french toast for godsakes. FOOLS.

Well anyway, now that I have that out of my system. I'd like to let you know that next Saturday's Brunch Special shall be:

DUCK EGGS IN BAKED BEAN PURGATORY

It shall be served with toast and it will be wonderful, it's exceptionally special. SPECIAL DAMN IT!

Well that's the ticket I must say, I may still be a wee bit on the tipsy side from our BURRITOSandBREWS night in Tamp & Stitch. But tipsy is best way to make brunch. Perhaps a donation box for a beer license?

More eggs! More special specials.  I can confirm right now that The Buttermilk Pancakes shall return.

I've had Talking Heads stuck in my head all day so this is for you, just you.

{rb} is definitely our place for brunch, we were so delighted this morning to buy so much stuff from the McNally Family Farm, their buttermilk is the greatest, THE GREATEST. The pancakes were dead on with it.

We get to keep supporting the market and it's just great, even seeing a few traders up for visit and a good brew!

Next Saturday we are feeling:

With the not so optional optional bacon, as we found out today! A little honey and alot of toasted almonds.

THE FIRST BRUNCH HAPPENED! by gruelguerilla

Well it was a minor success, it was great for everyone involved

and everyone got their eggs. We chatted with most people and we'll keep working on it! We're already looking forward to this Saturday's Brunch with a magnificent special coming!

You shall come expecting buttermilk pancakes with fruit and orchard syrup and you shall receive! The buttermilk is made from the production of the McNally Family Farm's butter and it is amazing. You'll have the option of topping it off with some bacon if savory is what you're looking for.

We'll have the regular trio on this weekend too. Meat eggs, Veg eggs & the special coffee friendly {rb} granola!The granola just so you know is now available all week long in Roasted Brown. We make it with lashings of cardamon so it's bang on with {rb}'s amazing brewed coffees! Go try! You must!

Well I'm sure we'll pop back on with some bits during the week! Keep an eye out for some new tasty goods floating around cafés this week.

Well here is the deal!

Every Saturday from April 6th onwards there shall be Brunch. A local happy fun brunch. Everything will come from the fantastic Temple Bar Food Market and we shall enjoy it together.

You will have options! Not many, but some!

Eggs two ways!

{veg eggs} - poached eggs, seasonal blanched greens, crumbled corleggy goats cheese topped with toasted fennel

{meat eggs} - poached eggs, ed hicks smoke cured bacon, hollandaise and toasted almonds

{RB} Granola - toasted oats, seeds, almonds, hazelnuts & cherries, topped with McNally Natural yogurt &  poached fruit

and

A weekly special! This week is -

Black pudding, pan-fried corleggy halloumi, hummus and toast.
